Is This Blogging?

Well here I sit with a glass of chardonnay, some low fat wheat thins, a nose full of snot, and my little buddy Simon by my side. Simon is my cat and we are holding down the estate…… just us guys. Debbie, my wife is away on business. No…. there are no big parties, no ex-girlfriends coming by, no cigar smoking poker games being held either. Just a 48 year old guy with a cold and his cat figuring out the world of blogging. How am I doing so far? Bored crap-less by now? Hopefully I will get better at this. After all, I did no preparation as to what I was going to write for my first post. It is coming off the top of my balding cranium as the words hit the screen. My name is Joe Givens, Snoqualmie Joe to some. I am a bus driver for the public transit system for the Seattle area. I have two podcasts, Snoqualmie Joe and The Boat Virgins, and I am also a Green Bay Packer Fan. My hobbies include golfing, boating, running, travel, and lots of eating and drinking. My ideal date is…………. oops, forgot that this wasn’t a personal ad even though it sounds like it. I am an opinionated fat ass blowing alot of air and is this blogging? Am I a blogger now? Yippppeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! What next?

My wife Debbie and I have been married almost 15 years and we live in a small but growing town nestled next to the Cascade Mountains called Snoqualmie. We are recently empty nesters and are enjoying our new found privacy. Debbie has two sons from a previous marriage Ryan and Alex and you’ll learn more about them later. For now I am closing this introductory post as the time is getting late and I am getting pumpkinesque. Is that a word? You get it don’t you? Don’t be a dumb ass. Simon is beckoning me to bed and I am obliged to go. Until next time……..blog this!!!!

  1. Well done! Welcome to the blogosphere. Claim your blog on http://www.technorati.com, and start leaving comments on other blogs that would have an audience similar to yours. Next thing you know, you’ll have a big audience!

  2. The link doesn’t seem to work and what does it mean by “claiming your blog”?
