The Golden Rule

Across the globe, the so-called “golden rule” is cherished. Many religions and philosophies provide variations on this message:

Islam: “No one of you is a believer until he desires for his brother that which he desires for himself.”

Buddhism: “Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.”

Confucianism: “Do not do unto others what you would not have them do unto you.”

Hinduism: “This is the sum of duty: do not do unto others that which would cause you pain if done to you.”

Judaism: “What is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow man.”

Christianity: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

Appeasing Islam

I don’t know if you have heard of Pat Condell, but he makes some very interesting comments on his YouTube Channel. Now I am not saying whether or not I agree with his views because it is my business, not yours, but here is a very interesting video to watch. You can make your own opinions about it, but it will make you think!
