The Ant And The Grasshopper

This  one is a little different….
Two  Different Versions …
Two  Different Morals

OLD  VERSION

The  ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The  grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come  winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The  grasshopper has no  food or shelter, so he dies  out in the cold.

MORAL  OF THE OLD STORY:

Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN  VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house
and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come  winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide  pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit  the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green …’

Occupy the Anthill stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house where the news stations film the SEIU group singing, ‘We Shall Overcome’.

Then Rev Al Sharpton’s assistant has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper
while he damns the ants. The Reverend Al cannot attend as he has contractual commitments to appear on his MSNBC show for which he is paid over two million dollars a year to complain that rich people do not care.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper’s plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview on ‘The View’ that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the ‘Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act’ retroactive to the beginning of
the  summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The  story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant’s old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn’t maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper  is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken
over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous, and peaceful neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of  the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Befree lo careful how you vote in 2016.

Time For Change

So we will have another four more years of the Obumble Administration in the White House! I can tell you that I didn’t put him there with my vote! I can also say I didn’t vote for the other guy either. I voted my conscience and for change! Granted, I knew my guy wouldn’t win and some would say that I just wasted my vote! Well my friends, those are the people this video alludes to, the cowards, the uninformed, the lemmings that don’t think anything can change, those only interested in status quo, the ones who won’t watch the video, the ones who will do NOTHING! Many of those who will actually watch, will just laugh it off and go back to their couches. I am hoping many, many, many more though will watch and really think about what is happening here in our great country and DO SOMETHING!!! Watch it a few times! Get out your tea bags and envelopes and mail them to your government representatives. May add a note, saying if they don’t start really working for you, you will fire them! WATCH AND DO SOMETHING!!!

Tea Party and Libertarian Cowards

You know I am sick of politics and government as usual and think the path the current batch of crooks are leading America is into fiscal oblivion and financial ruin! That is why I became a supporter and a believer of both Ron and Rand Paul and the ideals of the Libertarian Party. I never fully jumped on the bandwagon of the so-called Tea Party movement though, as there are so many diverse variables within the movement. What I am a believer in is less intrusive, smaller, more honest and transparent government. I am (was) also a follower of the Campaign for Liberty mission and principles and have them as a Facebook Like and keep up with what is going on with the mission. Here is their mission statement:

Our mission is to promote and defend the great American principles of individual liberty, constitutional government, sound money, free markets, and a non interventionist foreign policy, by means of educational and political activity.

Then I came across this treatise, Corporate Infusion: What the Tea Party’s Really Serving America, written by Jamie Raskin, Senior Fellow, People For the American Way. It revealed some surprising agendas unfolding by some in the Tea Party and Libertarian camp and also showed some not so good indiscretions by both Ron and Rand Paul! There is also quite a history lesson given in some of the back office politicking done in the early days of the country! It is a long read, but very well worth it! Now read the Campaign for Liberty’s Statement of Principles:

Americans inherit from our ancestors a glorious tradition of freedom and resistance to oppression.  Our country has long been admired by the rest of the world for her great example of liberty and prosperity—a light shining in the darkness of tyranny.

But many Americans today are frustrated.  The political choices they are offered give them no real choice at all.  For all their talk of “change,” neither major political party as presently constituted challenges the status quo in any serious way.  Neither treats the Constitution with anything but contempt.  Neither offers any kind of change in monetary policy.  Neither wants to make the reductions in government that our crushing debt burden demands.  Neither talks about bringing American troops home not just from Iraq but from around the world.  Our country is going bankrupt, and none of these sensible proposals are even on the table.

This destructive bipartisan consensus has suffocated American political life for many years.  Anyone who tries to ask fundamental questions instead of cosmetic ones is ridiculed or ignored.

That is why the Campaign for Liberty was established: to highlight the neglected but common-sense principles we champion and reinsert them into the American political conversation.

The U.S. Constitution is at the heart of what the Campaign for Liberty stands for, since the very least we can demand of our government is fidelity to its own governing document.  Claims that our Constitution was meant to be a “living document” that judges may interpret as they please are fraudulent, incompatible with republican government, and without foundation in the constitutional text or the thinking of the Framers.  Thomas Jefferson spoke of binding our rulers down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution, and we are proud to follow in his distinguished lineage.

With our Founding Fathers, we also believe in a noninterventionist foreign policy.  Inspired by the old Robert Taft wing of the Republican Party, we are convinced that the American people cannot remain free and prosperous with 700 military bases around the world, troops in 130 countries, and a steady diet of war propaganda.  Our military overstretch is undermining our national defense and bankrupting our country.

We believe that the free market, reviled by people who do not understand it, is the most just and humane economic system and the greatest engine of prosperity the world has ever known.

We believe with Ludwig von Mises, Henry Hazlitt, and F.A. Hayek that central banking distorts economic decision making and misleads entrepreneurs into making unsound investments.  Hayek won the Nobel Prize for showing how central banks’ interference with interest rates sets the stage for economic downturns.  And the central bank’s ability to create money out of thin air transfers wealth from the most vulnerable to those with political pull, since it is the latter who receive the new money before the price increases it brings in its wake have yet occurred.  For economic and moral reasons, therefore, we join the great twentieth-century economists in opposing the Federal Reserve System, which has reduced the value of the dollar by 95 percent since it began in 1913.

We oppose the dehumanizing assumption that all issues that divide us must be settled at the federal level and forced on every American community, whether by activist judges, a power-hungry executive, or a meddling Congress.  We believe in the humane alternative of local self-government, as called for in our Constitution.

We oppose the transfer of American sovereignty to supranational organizations in which the American people possess no elected representatives.  Such compromises of our country’s independence run counter to the principles of the American Revolution, which was fought on behalf of self-government and local control.  Most of these organizations have a terrible track record even on their own terms: how much poverty have the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund actually alleviated, for example?  The peoples of the world can interact with each other just fine in the absence of bureaucratic intermediaries that undermine their sovereignty.

We believe that freedom is an indivisible whole, and that it includes not only economic liberty but civil liberties and privacy rights as well, all of which are historic rights that our civilization has cherished from time immemorial.

Our stances on other issues can be deduced from these general principles.

Our country is ailing.  That is the bad news.  The good news is that the remedy is so simple and attractive: a return to the principles our Founders taught us.  Respect for the Constitution, the rule of law, individual liberty, sound money, and a noninterventionist foreign policy constitute the foundation of the Campaign for Liberty.

If you have read both, these principles seem contradictory to some of the actions of the Tea Party and Libertarian Party, does it not? So I decided to post the link of the treatise on the Campaign For Liberty’s Facebook wall. I expected to get a defense or rebuttal of these accusations of the Tea Partiers, Libertarians, and even the Paul’s but got a deleted post. I posted the link two more times and both times it was deleted in a manner of seconds. I then posted a personal challenge and question as to what they are afraid of and got nothing in return but quick deletions of anything I posted. It would seem as though there may be some truth to this treatise and they are running scared. I put my faith and trust into this new and exciting direction of American politics, but it seems that getting the Government back in the hands of the hands of the American people will just remain an illusion. It will be just business as usual, just with a different bunch of crooks at the helm. At this point, whom do you trust in government…..nobody? What is left for the American people to believe in? Should we take our government back by way of revolution? Is there any fight left in the American people? Think about it…….. I am pissed!

This Senior Citizen Nailed It!!!

Alan Simpson, Senator from Wyoming , Co-Chair of Obama’s deficit commission, calls senior citizens the Greediest Generation as he compared “Social Security” to a Milk Cow with 310 million teats.August, 2010.
Here’s a response in a letter from a unknown fellow in Montana …I think he is a little ticked off!   He also tells it like it is !
—————————————————————————————————————————-

“Hey Alan, let’s get a few things straight..

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole for FIFTY YEARS.

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).

3 My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme
that would have made Bernie Madoff proud.

4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67.  NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN.

5  I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an  extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills.

6.  I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why?  Because you incompetent bastards spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To add insult to injury, you label us “greedy” for calling “bullshit” on your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU.1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?
2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?
3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?
4.  What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or, as usual, have  you exempted yourself and your political cronies?
It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the “greedy” ones.  It is you and your fellow nutcases who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.  And for what?  Votes.  That’s right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic political careers.  You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.
And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch.
Heaven and Hell
While walking down the street one day a Corrupt Senator was tragically hit by a car and died.
His soul arrives in heaven and is met by St. Peter at the entrance.
“Welcome to heaven,” says St. Peter. “Before you settle in, it seems there is a problem. We seldom see a high official around these parts, you see, so we’re not sure what to do with you.”
“No problem, just let me in,” says the Senator.
“Well, I’d like to, but I have orders from the higher ups. What we’ll do is have you spend one day in hell and one in heaven. Then you can choose where to spend eternity.”
“Really?, I’ve made up my mind. I want to be in heaven,” says the Senator.
“I’m sorry, but we have our rules.”
And with that, St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell.
The doors open and he finds himself in the middle of a green golf course. In the distance is a clubhouse and standing in front of it are all his friends and other politicians who had worked with him.
Everyone is very happy and in evening dress. They run to greet him, shake his hand, and reminisce about the good times they had while getting rich at the expense of the people.
They played a friendly game of golf and then dine on lobster, caviar and the finest champagne.
Also present is the devil, who really is a very friendly guy who is having a good time dancing and telling jokes.
They are all having such a good time that before the Senator realizes it, it is time to go.
Everyone gives him a hearty farewell and waves while the elevator rises.
The elevator goes up, up, up and the door reopens in heaven where St. Peter is waiting for him, “Now it’s time to visit heaven…”
So, 24 hours passed with the Senator joining a group of contented souls moving from cloud to cloud, playing the harp and singing. They have a good time and, before he realizes it, the 24 hours have gone by and St. Peter returns.
“Well, then, you’ve spent a day in hell and another in heaven. Now choose your eternity.”
The Senator reflects for a minute, then he answers: “Well, I would never have said it before, I mean heaven has been delightful, but I think I would be better off in hell.”
So St. Peter escorts him to the elevator and he goes down, down, down to hell…
Now the doors of the elevator open and he’s in the middle of a barren land covered with waste and garbage. He sees all his friends, dressed in rags, picking up the trash and putting it in black bags as more trash falls from above
The devil comes over to him and puts his arm around his shoulders.
“I don’t understand,” stammers the Senator. “Yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and clubhouse, and we ate lobster and caviar, drank champagne, and danced and had a great time. Now there’s just a wasteland full of garbage and my friends look miserable. What happened?”
The devil smiles at him and says,
“Yesterday we were campaigning, Today, you voted..”
Vote wisely on November 2.
Some Email Humor
Excerpts from a DC Airline Ticket Agent {Funny}
A DC airport ticket agency offers some examples of ‘why’ our country is in trouble!
1.        I had a New Hampshire Congresswoman (Carol Shea-Porter) ask for an aisle seat so that her hair wouldn’t get messed up by being near the window. (On an airplane!)
2.        I got a call from a Kansas Congressman’s (Moore) staffer (Howard Bauleke), who wanted to go to Capetown. I started to explain the length of the flight and the passport information, and then he interrupted me with, ”I’m not trying to make you look stupid, but Capetown is in Massachusetts.”
Without trying to make him look stupid, I calmly explained, ”Cape Cod is in Massachusetts , Capetown is in Africa ” his response — click.
3.        A senior Vermont Congressman (Bernie Sanders) called, furious about a Florida package we did. I asked what was wrong with the vacation in Orlando.  He said he was expecting an ocean-view room.  I tried t o explain that’s not possible, since Orlando is in the middle of the state.  He replied, ‘Don’t lie to me, I looked on the map and Florida is a very thin state!” (OMG)
4.        I got a call from a lawmaker’s wife (Landra Reid) who asked, ”Is it possible to see England from
Canada?” I said, ”No.”
She said, ”But they look so close on the map.” (OMG, again!)
5.        An aide for a cabinet member(Janet Napolitano) once called and asked if he could rent a car in Dallas.  I pulled up the reservation and noticed he had only a 1-hour layover in Dallas.  When I asked him why he wanted to rent a car, he said, ”I heard Dallas was a big airport, and we will need a car to drive between gates to save time.” (Aghhhh)
6.        An Illinois Congresswoman (Jan Schakowsky) called last week.  She needed to know how it was possible that her flight from Detroit left at 8:30 a.m., and got to Chicago at 8:33 a.m.
I explained that Michigan was an hour ahead of Illinois, but she couldn’t understand the concept of time zones.  Finally, I told her the plane went fast, and she bought that.
7.        A New York lawmaker, called and asked, ”Do airlines put your physical description on your bag so they know whose luggage belongs to whom?”
I said, ‘No, why do you ask?’ he replied, ”Well, when I checked in with the airline, they put a tag on my luggage that said (FAT), and I’m overweight. I think that’s very rude!”
After putting him on hold for a minute, while I looked into it. (I was dying laughing). I came back and explained the city code for Fresno, Ca. is (FAT – Fresno Air Terminal), and the airline was just putting a destination tag on his luggage.
8.        A Senator John Kerry aide (Lindsay Ross) called to inquire about a trip package to Hawaii.  After going over all the cost info, she asked, ”Would it be cheaper to fly to California and then take the train to Hawaii?”
9.        I just got off the phone with a freshman Congressman, Bobby Bright (D) from Ala who asked, ”How do I know which plane to get on?”
I asked him what exactly he meant, to which he replied, ”I was told my flight number is 823, but none of these planes have numbers on them.”
10.     Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) called and said, ”I need to fly to Pepsi-Cola , Florida . Do I have to get on one of those little computer planes?”
I asked if she meant fly to Pensacola , FL on a commuter plane.
She said, ”Yeah, whatever, smarty!”
11.     Mary Landrieu (D) LA. Senator called and had a question about the documents she needed in order to fly to China.  After a lengthy discussion about passports, I reminded her that she needed a visa. ‘Oh, no I don’t. I’ve been to China many times and never had to have one of those.”
I double checked and sure enough, her stay required a visa.  When I told her this she said, ”Look, I’ve been to China four times and every time they have accepted my American Express!”
12.       A New Jersey Congressman (John Adler) called to make reservations, ”I want to go from Chicago to Rhino, New York . . .”
I was at a loss for words. Finally, I said, ”Are you sure that’s the name of the town?”
‘Yes, what flights do you have?” replied the man.
After some searching, I came back with, ”I’m sorry, sir, I’ve looked up every airport code in the country and can’t find a rhino anywhere.”
”The man retorted, ”Oh, don’t be silly!  Everyone knows where it is.  Check your map!”
So I scoured a map of the state of New York and finally offered, ”You don’t mean Buffalo, do you?”
The reply?  ”Whatever!  I knew it was a big animal.”
Now you know why the Government is in the shape that it’s in!
Could anyone be this DUMB?
YES, THEY WALK AMONG US, ARE IN POLITICS, AND THEY CONTINUE TO BREED.
I don’t write it, I just offer it for your consideration. Like manure, you just gotta spread it around.
Where Is The Outrage?
I am appalled at our State Legistatures and I am equally appalled at the apathy of the general public here in the State of Washington. After suspending voter approved I-960, they also axed “transparency” requirements, including advisory votes on any tax increases approved by the Legislature and a requirement that the names of lawmakers voting for tax increases be printed in voters pamphlets. Gee how convenient that was attached to add insult to injury. Where is the public outrage? Where is the outcry? Where are all the people screaming that infamous line from “Network”, “We are mad as hell and we’re not going to take this anymore!” ? Read the following that I received from my State Representative and after that I hope you do as I will and find out which of these thieving scumbags voted yes on this and work on removing them from office. If you are too busy, or lazy, or just don’t want to worry about it, then keep your mouths shut when you start seeing more of your hard earned money leaving your pocketbooks!!!
Dear friend,
Yesterday, Majority House Democrats unveiled their 2010 supplemental operating budget that includes more than $857 million in new tax increases. Simply put, government spending is out of control.
After suspending the Taxpayer Protection Act (I-960) last week, the majority party now intends to fill a $2.7 billion budget shortfall by substantially raising taxes, relying on one-time federal stimulus dollars, and transferring funds from other dedicated state accounts. Despite being in the worst recession since World War II, the majority party wants to spend nearly $31 billion and actually increase spending in one program (General Assistance Unemployable) by a whopping $50 million. This approach will only leave $269 million in state reserves. Here is a snapshot of their proposal:
  • $857 million in new tax increases;
  • $641 million in federal dollars;
  • $653 million in spending cuts;
  • $236 million in state budget transfers; and
  • $311 million from state reserves.
When factoring in one-time transfers, federal stimulus money and new taxes, the majority party’s operating budget proposes only a 1 percent reduction in spending. This is absolutely unsustainable. We cannot repeat the budget mistakes of the last five years. Now is the time to reject tax increases, and embrace fiscal discipline and state government reform. Below is how I feel we can reach these goals for our budget.
Solutions for the operating budget
First and foremost, we should not suspend the Taxpayer Protection Act (I-960), which voters approved in 2007. This required a two-thirds vote of the Legislature for tax increases. Senate Bill 6130, which was signed into law by the governor today, removes this taxpayer protection and clears the way for tax increases. I opposed this bill and you can read my statement on it here. The operating budget can, and should be, balanced without raising taxes.
Second, we must prioritize state government to focus on education, public safety and the protection of our most vulnerable. This means our state should get out of the business of running liquor stores, insurance companies and other programs that can be handled by the private sector. I also feel we must reduce the size of the state labor force and freeze state employee salaries. It does not make sense that many state employees will be receiving raises at a time when the private sector is reducing wages and losing jobs. Since February 2008, approximately 173,500 jobs have been lost in the private sector in our state, while 7,800 government jobs have been added. These tough economic times offer our state a great opportunity for real reform, but there is a reluctance to challenge the status quo in Olympia.
Finally, we need to reform our budget process. You might be surprised to learn our state had a $1.8 billion surplus four years ago, driven by extraordinary real estate excise tax revenue. So, what happened? State spending grew by 33 percent, more than $8 billion, from 2005 to 2008. We must implement budget reforms to ensure sustainability, accountability and transparency. For example, I support measures that would:
In closing, there must be a mind shift in Olympia when it comes to fiscal policy. The way forward to a sustainable budget is to create new jobs – not raise taxes. You can learn more about the ideas I support to strengthen our economy by clicking here.
If you feel the same way, please contact the members of the House Ways and Means Committee and let them know that you demand a no-new-taxes budget. For their contact information, please click here. We can fight for fiscal responsibility and sustainable budgeting in Olympia, but I need your help. Together, we can make a difference!
545 People
This came to me in my email thought you might find it interesting if you haven’t seen it!
545 People
By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party. What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!
